Saga Investment Bank will move its headquarters from Hafnarstræti 53, Akureyri, to Reykjavik Höfðatorg as of July 1. The Bank’s headquarters have been located in Akureyri since its establishment, and the majority of activities have taken place there, but in recent years an increasingly greater share of the business has moved to Reykjavík. Currently more employees are based in Reykjavik than in Akureyri, so moving the headquarters is a natural step in line with that trend. The Bank’s branch in Akureyri will subsequently be closed in the autumn.
The Bank will continue to maintain good relations with Akureyri and surrounding areas and continue working with the Bank’s numerous clients located in the north, as well as support the continued growth of the securities company T Plus in Akureyri, which the bank established in cooperation with Icelandic Securities and Stapi Pension Fund.
